DIVISION 3 STATE GIRLS BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP: Archbishop Williams 62, Hoosac Valley 37: Asiah Dingle scored 15 points and center Jessica Knight added 11 as the Bishops defeated the Hurricanes in the Division 3 state girls basketball final for the second time in three years.
    The Bishops survived an early 10-3 deficit, then went on a 29-12 run to finish the half and never looked back. They clamped down on the defensive end, limiting Hoosac Valley to three points in the third quarter. The victory marks the Bishops’ third title since 2013 and their sixth in program history.
