CHESHIRE — There's an old sports cliche that states: You can throw out the records when rival teams get together. On Tuesday in Cheshire, during Hoosac's Senior Night, not only were records meaningless, but leads were not meant to last either.

The Hurricanes led by seven heading into the final quarter, but the Blue Devils roared back, using clutch shooting to a earn a 62-56 win, which clinched the North Division title for coach Jack Racette's squad.

Drury's Scott McGuire scored 11 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter, including shooting 6 for 6 from the charity stripe to clinch the win. In addition to hot shooting from the stripe, the Blue Devils found their range from deep as well. Chad Lawrence (12 points) made three 3-pointers in the quarter. Drury outscored Hoosac 26-13 in the final eight minutes.

Izaha Stubbs helped Hoosac control the game early. He scored eight of his game-high 21 in the second quarter. Casey Meczywor added five points in the quarter, putting Hoosac up 28-22.

Reece Racette scored 12 points for Drury. The Blue Devils have won six in a row.
