Hoosac Valley is still stuck on one and counting.

The Hurricanes need one win to qualify for the Western Massachusetts Division III boys basketball tournament. They didn't get it at Taconic Friday night, as the Braves scored a 70-50 win.

The Hurricanes (9-9, 2-5 Berkshire North) wrap up their season at home against Pittsfield on Monday. The Generals had their tournament hopes dashed in a loss to Wahconah. But if Hoosac wins, it would qualify.

The game was tied 25-all at halftime, before Taconic (12-7, 5-3) outscored the Hurricanes 23-10.

Javier Osorio had a game-high 18 points for Taconic and Quentin Gittens added 11.

For Hoosac, Sam Larabee had 14 points.
