Led by 24 points from Averie McGrath, No. 7 Hoosac Valley defeated Mount Everett, 44-27, on Wednesday. McGrath made a game-high three 3-pointers during the game.
Annie Canales also chipped in nine points for Hoosac Valley (5-3). Emma Goewey scored a team-high 14 points for Mount Everett (0-6).
Mount Everett had the lead, 9-5, going into the second quarter, but Hoosac Valley outscored the Mounties in the final three quarters to earn the victory.
Hoosac Valley’s next game is on Feb. 27 against Mount Greylock. Mount Everett’s next game is against Wahconah on Thursday.
