SOUTH HADLEY — Don’t look now, but the Hoosac Valley girls are getting on a roll at the right time.
Taylor Garabedian and Ashlyn Lesure combined for 29 points as the Hurricanes improved to 12-4 with a 49-40 win over Pioneer Valley rival, South Hadley.
The Hurricanes have now won four straight and 11 of their last 12 games. They came into the game as the No. 6 team in the MIAA Division 5 rankings and the top team in the PVIAC’s Class D field.
Hoosac’s defense held the Tigers in check for the first half, as the Hurricanes outscored South Hadley 32-17, which proved to be too big of a gap for South Hadley to recover from.
Alex Jackson led South Hadley with 14 points.
Hoosac will be at Taconic Monday night.
