On Apr. 23, MassLive released the 2025 All-Western Mass. girls basketball selections for each class.
This year’s list features eight players from Springfield Central, with three First Team selections in Class A. After winning a fourth consecutive Western Mass. Class A title, the Golden Eagles reached the Div. I semi-finals in the state tournament.
South Hadley and Frontier both had seven players nominated, with the Tigers and the Red Hawks receiving three First Team selections in Class B The Tigers reached both the WMass Class B final and the Div. IV state final, while the Red Hawks reached the WMass Class B semifinals and the Div. IV Round of 16.
Renaissance also received seven nominations, with three First Team selections in Class C. The Phoenix won their second consecutive WMass Class C title and reached the Div. V state final.
Hoosac Valley, Northampton and Pittsfield received six selections each to round out the top-awarded teams. Hoosac Valley won its fourth-consecutive WMass Class D title before successfully defending its Div. V state title. The Generals reached the Div. III state semifinals after winning the WMass Class B title, while the Blue Devils reached the Div. II quarterfinals and the WMass Class A finals.
